Remote Sensing PART 5: Teaching Remote Sensing

Percepción remota Parte 5: Enseñanza de la percepción remota

5. The Remote Sensing Curriculum.

In addition to the material summarized in the previous entries, next are shown some links that show good examples on lecture contents that can be used to structure the Remote Sensing core curriculum. What I like about the material contained in the links provided is the philosophy under which the contents are developed. I hope you find it as well inspiring.

- The Remote Sensing Core Curriculum. An interesting initiative aimed to provide resources on the education of remote sensing (similar to MOCHA, but narrowed down to an specific field).

- Dr. Jane Southworth, at the University of Florida. Courses on Environmental Remote Sensing and Image Processing, and Advanced Environmental Remote Sensing.

- Prof. Jan Clevers, at the Wageningen University. Lecture PP slides on introductory remote sensing course.

- Dr. Thomas Frank (retired), at the University of Illinois. It is particularly interesting his research on Aerosols in South America and Africa.

- In Spanish: SIG y teledetección en la Universidad de Murcia. Asignaturas de SIG, teledetección, modelización de sistemas ambientales, cursos en SIG, tutoriales de GRASS.

- Other links...to be added.
